The Ross Breeders Anadolu A.Ş. (RBA) was established in 1999 as a Joint Venture of Aviagen and Supreme Food of Saudi Arabia, with the policy of investing in State-Of-The-Art equipment and facilities to meet the growing needs of the Turkish modern poultry industry.

The RBA policy to supply the best possible quality PS chicks and technical service to all of our customers. Our commitment to customers is to provide product that delivers value and through customer visits, workshops and seminars, the RBA Technical Services Team will share their knowledge and experience gained from the different production environments.

 The RBA has an “integrated management” approach, providing support throughout the production chain, focusing this knowledge and experience to where it is needed providing the opportunity for customers to maximize the profitability of their business. Health and bio security is a paramount feature of all RBA facilities. The farms and hatcheries are based in a remote location and the company maintains stringent bio security measures to ensure that we continue to provide the highest standards of chick quality to our customers.

The Kalecik Parent Stock (PS) hatchery was built in 2001 with the first Ross 308 PS chicks being hatched in August 2001. Since 2001. RBA has supplied approximately 32 million chicks to the Turkish market and has exported over 2 million chicks to the CIS and the Middle East countries. The superior performance of the Ross 308 birds combined with the highly experienced local technical service team ensures that we provide our customers with the best possible product and service package.

Ross Haymana and Ross Ankara GP farms, which were established in 2003 and 2005 respectively, supply 70% of the GP hatcheries with the balance being supplied by Aviagen. The RBA Kalecik and Haymana hatcheries annual female PS chick production capacity is 5,4 million chicks per year. The feed supply to the GP farms is heat treated in a purpose built feed decontamination unit, which together with strict bio-security and an MG, MS and salmonella monitoring programme ensures that we produce the highest quality GP hatching eggs.

The RBA locally produced PS chicks are delivered within Turkey direct to the farm in “state-of-the-art” climate controlled vehicles. Export sales to CIS and Middle East countries can be delivered either by road transport or by air transports as appropriate.

The RBA Technical Services Team provides a comprehensive technical service to our customers and because it is local. The team has the ability to respond quickly to customer requirements and needs.

The RBA Diagnostic Laboratory, which was established in 2003 and accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, monitors all GP farms, PS hatcheries, vehicles, GP feed and personnel. It routinely analyses more than 7.000 samples per month from RBA facilities and analyses customer samples as and when required. The GP farms, the PS hatcheries and the laboratory are externally audited twice per year to ensure that we maintain the highest possible level of quality.

In May 2011, Aviagen acquired the shareholding of Supreme Foods and RBA became a wholly owned Aviagen company.
